Finished my 'VTA' course today & just wanted to give you some feedback....
I have no doubt I'll benefit from the last 5 days & draw on the things Saun taught me for the rest of my career. I honestly couldn't recommend attending Armstrongs' highly enough & I'll be spreading the word to anyone who'll listen.
My experience in dealing with you guys has been fantastic from the get go, from my initial enquiry with Michelle to Amy handling the booking in such a timely & hastle free manner.
The theory component was facilitated by Mal, who was a gold mine of information & I could pick his brain about his career & experiences in the industry 'till the cows come home. Unfortunately due to working 2 jobs I was too slack to go over the online prep material but thanks to the session with Mal I was able to do enough to scrape through.... a bit of an affront to my perfectionist personality but it'll do for where I'm at
All the trainers made a point of saying g'day & asking how I was tracking through the week & they've created a culture in there where you feel fully supported & a 'no question is too stupid' atmosphere, they're all great people. I can't speak highly enough of 'Guru' Saun as an operator he's without peer, he's an artist & the Road Ranger crash box is his canvas & he's a stellar bloke to boot. He was professional, patient, particularly when I got us beached on an incline somewhere on the other side of the city (ask him about it hilarious; Saun says 'splitter forward clutch in once', Marcus goes; accelerate x 5.) He didn't blurt out anything superfluous, just said enough in the right moment for me to digest & no doubt I'll be ringing it up in the old brain box for the rest of my career. Saun has given me a solid base & understanding of driving syncro & non-syncro that I can take somewhere in confidence & build on, he's sensational at what he does & you wouldn't find a better trainer anywhere & 99% wouldn't come within a bulls' roar.
Lastly but not leastly, a big thanks to you mate for giving me the opportunity & putting me forward for the 'VTA' program. I realise how fortunate I am to go from a position of being happy to put myself through the requisite 2 day course to walking away with 40hrs driving experience under my belt in a number of different trucks with the training being provided by the highest caliber guys, I'm so greatful & appreciative.
Thanks a million mate & please pass on my thanks & appreciation to the whole team, unfortunately we don't tend to hear when we're doing a good job enough but those dudes & gals are all first class & were instrumental in helping me take this next step in my career & couldn't have made it any less stress free or any more enjoyable. They're just good peoples!
Thanks again & I'll be back to see if I can't terrorise a trainer or two when I chase my HC & MC licenses.
All the best. Cheers mate.
Marcus - Mornington
Sean was my trainer last Friday and in one word he was "Awesome".
I had been to another driver training company prior to this and it did not teach me anything like the few hours I spent with Sean.
He was all positive and friendly and really focused on teaching me to drive the vehicle and made me so calm I was able to not only pass the test, but feel very comfortable and confident to now drive a truck!
I was extremely nervous prior to arrival however Sean managed give me the confidence to drive well. I know he has been training drivers for a while , and it really shows.
Thanks Sean for the day and Armstrongs should be very proud of having staff like Sean
Will - Willowgrove
Everyone at Armstrongs was very friendly and helpful at all times and I can not get over how everyone, from the ladies in the office to all the trainers, were all very supportive.
Thank you so much for an excellent experience and a special shout-out to Mark my trainer for his patience and making me feel very comfortable. Thank you.
Faith - Broadmeadows
I went for my heavy rigid license with them. My Trainer was John, I also had two other trainers (Mark and Mark) who were with me who were doing more training on how to train new drivers. All 3 are really great blokes. Essentially I was lucky enough to have 3 trainers guiding me through the process instead of the usual 1 trainer. I enjoyed my time there.
It was definitely a challange learning to drive such a large vehicle. So much information that you needed to take on in such a short time. I can see other people have been unhappy with their training but their problem seems more to be a language barrier than anything else. All 3 trainers i had were able to tell and explain to me in english what i needed to do in a excellent way. I was still getting a little confused every now and then but as i said before there was so much info that you were having to learn that sometimes it was just information overload.
They are defenitely not out to fail you so they can make more money out of you, that's for sure. All they want to do is to train you properly and make sure you are competent in the vehicle you are learning in before passing you. Because at the end of the day it is a serious matter. There is already to many incompetent drivers on the roads, we really dont need any more!
Anyway i would highly recommend Armstrongs Driver Training to anybody. Thankyou to John, both Marks, Amy and also the bloke who did the theory part of the course (forgotten his name) as well as everybody else in the Armstrongs Team who made it possible, easy and as stress free as possible for me to get my Heavy Rigid license.
I will be back to get my forklift ticket, motorbike license, Heavy Combination as well as Multi Combination license. I wont even think of going anywhere else!!!
Timm - Warburton
Can I just say that we thought Adam was an excellent trainer. He was very calm and super knowledgeable and this reassured us and gave us confidence when driving. Please pass this feedback onto him!
I would definitely recommend this service to anyone looking to undertake heavy and not so heavy vehicle instructions. Thanks so much!
Diana - Team Leader Youth Engagement and Partnerships
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to yourself, John, Adam, Malcolm and especially Wayne for the HR training I recently did. I have already driven to Adelaide and back successfully.
Cheers and thank you.
Kyall - Powelltown
I recently completed the Armstrongs' 1 Day forklift licence course. I have driven forklifts for nearly 20 years and my licence expired from Interstate and I didn't realise.
Even though I know I can drive a forklift, I suffer from anxiety and I was extremely stressed, especially about the written test. The Instructor for the day was Ivan and from the moment the class met him he was extremely professional and calming. I went from being extremely stressed and struggling, to having a positive result and obtaining my licence with no issues.
Ivan is a great instructor who really cares about getting his students qualified in a low stress supporting environment.
The whole experience and environment at Armstong's was great and I would recommend highly!

I am writing to provide feedback regarding my experience after completing the 2 day motor bike learner's driving course at your premises in Thomastown. I attended the course on Wednesday 27 December and Thursday 28 December 2017. My personal reasons for completing the course was to be able to ride a scooter around my neighbourhood despite me being absolutely petrified to do so. After walking into a room of only men I started to feel extremely intimidated and was questioning whether I should really be at the course or whether I should've been where all the other females were, which is at the Boxing Day Sales?
However, I was put at ease within 5 minutes of being in the classroom by both Steve and Stuart. Two of the loveliest and genuinely caring men (and funny too) reassured me that there was nothing to worry about. Even the males in the classroom were encouraging which was nice.
I spent the next 2 days learning to ride the scooter with Steve being my instructor. I must say, the patience and caring nature he displayed was nothing what I expected to receive from an instructor. I truly felt like I belonged at the course and felt like I had an instructor that cared about my learning and safety on the bike. Despite a minor incident where I did fall off the bike, I did start to question whether I had the courage to come back on day 2 to complete the assessment. Steve reassured me that I could do it and kept encouraging me to keep going. I felt extremely comfortable and safe in Steve's hands. It can't be easy teaching a bunch of newbies who have never been on a bike before to start riding with some sort of confidence.
Somehow my confidence grew when it was time to complete the on road driving and I started to enjoy the ride more and more. Everything somehow just came together at this point.
I cannot thank you enough for giving me a genuinely nice caring instructor to help me conquer my fears, and the lessons I learned on the 2 day course including how to stay safe on the bike.
I am truly excited to come back to complete the "check ride" and then ultimately go for my licence. I have already selected a scooter I wish to buy which will enable me to practise daily before attempting the next two stages. I will definitely come back and hope I can choose Steve to guide me through the next 2 stages of the bike course.
Thank you Armstrongs for making this an amazing experience for a female in a very male dominant environment. Job well done!
Stacey - Coburg
I would just like to thank you all at Armstrongs for what you've done getting me my HC licence. A big thanks to Malcolm who is a great teacher as well as being a top bloke and character. Also to Sean who got me through the final stages! Will definatley recommend Armstrongs to people I meet to do their training with you guys! Thanks again.
Jonathan - Point Cook
Just wanted to write in and say a very sincere thanks for everything you did in training me and ensuring I obtained a ridged vehicle license. I felt really comfortable and in very capable hands yesterday. It really got me passed the nerves and made me feel confident moving forward. I would recommend anyone be trained by you guys, even just up-skilling or for refresher training. This was the finest example of a service provider I've ever experienced.
So, massive cheers all round legends. Honest.
Joshua - Thornbury
I gained my Certificate of Competence for a Medium Rigid Licence on my second attempt. I would like to sincerely thank John Nicholson for his patience and expert tutoring prior to me sitting the assessment on Friday 19th May. John's teaching style suited my analytical learning style. I was nervous when I started, but John quickly assisted in allaying my concerns. John is a credit to Armstrongs Driver Education Pty Ltd.
Greg - Greensborough
A sincere thank you to Steve Bye for instructing me how to 'ride' a motorcycle. Steve's sensible logic and riding knowledge was very impressive and his personable attitude towards each participant created a comfortable learning environment. Steve was gently assertive whilst encouraging participants to enjoy and have fun while learning. Certainly Steve is an asset to Armstrongs. If there were more road users just like Steve, our roads would be very safe places. Also thanking Bernie & Brian for their respective dry sense of humour whilst firmly educating participants about the seriousness of being on a bike. They certainly opened my eyes and made me listen attentively. I will certainly recommend Armstrongs to anyone wishing to learn to ride a motorcycle. All the best to you all at Armstrongs for much continued success.
Rose - Preston
Thank you very much for such an interesting and enjoyable day yesterday learning how to drive a light rigid. Ivan was my instructor and made me feel extremely comfortable and ready for the day ahead. Also a big thank you to Adam for the classroom/ropes session we went through. Both trainers were extremely helpful and I will be recommending anyone who is interested in learning to come you your company. Thanks again.
Just finished up my 2 day motorcycle learner course and was blessed to have such a great instructor. Thank you for your patience and wealth of knowledge that you have provided me over the weekend. Rest assured after some more experience I will be back for my check ride and license. Thanks Bernie.
James - South Morang
Just a quick thank you for running such a professional course.
Everyone there should be commended, in particular Ivan my instructor and Adam who conducted the theory.
PS - Please pass this thank-you onto management.
Steve - Ferntree Gully
Just a quick note to say thank you to the team at Armstrongs for a great course. In particular a big thank you to Aaron who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Having never ridden before, Aaron gave me the confidence and skills to be able to ride safely and confidently on the road as a new Learner rider.
Thank you. See you soon for the Check Ride!
Michael - Kew
Well at first I thought that doing a 2 day course just for my learners permit was over the top - especially when I had ridden dirt bikes before and had a full drivers car license. I thought that I pretty well knew it all. I just needed a brush up so to speak.
Well how wrong can I be. Bernie was just great in explaining and demonstrating and he made me realise that I really knew nothing except for how to sit on a stationary motorcycle (not switched on) ha ha!
Considering it was Bernie's first class in the new system, we all thought that he did a brilliant job. It is hard to think how he or the class could improve or to pick any fault. I have to say that Bernie makes a big impression because he is a communicator that has a commanding voice, he takes time to listen to people. His experience and knowledge is demonstrated in a very professional way leaving you with no doubt that riding a bike on the road is very serious and challenging. Bernie created a positive atmosphere in which to learn making sure that students understand every aspect of what he was teaching before moving on to the next stage, which built everybody's confidence.
Without a doubt, this new course combined with high calibre instructors such as Bernie gets my tick of approval. I only wished that my son who was also taught by Bernie last year could have done this course, especially because he was only 18 at the time and he would have gotten so much more out of the new course as opposed to the 4 hour course that he did.
I had a great positive experience thanks to Bernie and the rest of the staff at Armstrongs.
Ray - Mernda
I wanted to write a short note of appreciation and commendation to your instructor Brian.
I attended Armstrong's last week after having a very unsupportive and upsetting experience at XXXX. Unfortunately my experience at XXXX was with an instructor who gave no positive feedback nor understanding that to a female, who had never ridden a motorcycle bike before, the experience of learning was very nerve-wracking.
Some of the other students at my XXXX course saw my distress and the hard time I was getting from the instructor and actually suggested I go to Armstrong's, I was told by 2 of them who had friends with experiences at Armstrong's that they were a lot more supportive and patient than the instructor we had on that day.
Upon taking this advice I turned up and met Brian who from the minute I met him to the end of the day was simply wonderful. Brian put me at ease during the day, gave plenty of positive feedback and most importantly phrased his instructions for the assessment at the end of the day in a way that acknowledged and resolved my extreme nerves.
I can't speak highly enough of Brian and the professional way the course was run.
Thank you for having such a wonderful instructor and great process.
Athena - Bayswater
I would (on behalf of Chris and myself) like to extend our congratulations and thanks to Armstrong's Driver Education on the high standard and quality of HC licence training provided to us both.
After the unfortunate disruption to our first session, your organisation recovered as good educators do, with excellent service and prompt re-scheduling.
A special thankyou to our Trainer Wayne Harbour who displayed endless patience and remained the one constant in the vehicle, while we were learning. He also stayed an additional two hours (or so) to get me through my off-set reversing test.
RMMVA will utilise Armstrong's for all future Driver Training requirements. Again thank you.
Adrian - Training Manager
Rheinmetall-MAN Military Vehicles Australia
Just wanted to extend a BIG thank you to Bernie and the team for your professionalism, patience and expertise.
The 9 hour day I spent with Bernie last week, apart from the searing heat was of great value. Bernie broke down the lesson into chucks and we all learned at our own pace. I am now slowly gaining confidence on my own bike. Yay!
I will definitely be recommending your business to my friends and family.
Thanks again and see you soon.
Kath - Melbourne
Just wanted to provide some feedback on the course I undertook last week.
I originally intended to undertake a two day course at another facility, which is renowned for its standards. Due to timing issues, I was not able to book a session time that suited and just Googled alternative options.
I always thought Armstrong's provided motor vehicle and heavy duty training, but chose it from a number of options due to location.
Well, was I in for a surprise.
Our instructor Bernie, was incredibly patient, offered excellent advice to the group, explaining all facets in detail and more than happy to regularly take us aside one by one to provide positive feedback to improve our skills. I have held my car licence for a number of years but had never ridden a motorbike.
I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team, right from my first phone call to happily walking out with a Learners Permit.
Yesterday I did the Learners Permit Course and I would like to say how happy I was with my instructor Bernie. During the course I lost completely my confidence and because of his charisma, sensitiveness and patience, I got part of my confidence back and in the end I was able to successfully accomplish the tasks, the course and the exam.
Priscila Marques - Collingwood
I undertook the Multi Combination Course under the instruction of Sean Mahony. I would like Sean to know that his skill as an instructor is unsurpassed. I found his teaching easy to understand and follow. What might have been a stressful day, with a difficult test, was made thoroughly enjoyable.
Please let Sean know that his instruction and help are the best I have experienced. Thank you!
I wanted to provide some feedback with regards to my recent MR driver's course.
My instructor was Jeff and the training undertaken was with one other student.
I wanted to take a moment, especially in today's age when mostly negative feedback is communicated, to praise Armstrongs for their overall service. From Malissa handling all of my queries promptly and assisting me in enrolling in the course, through to the quality of vehicles, facilities and the great attitude of all of the instructors I came across during my course.
I would especially like to say a massive thank you to Jeff for being an absolutely brilliant instructor (I don't know where he gets his patience from though). Jeff communicated incredibly well, was at all times focusing on the safe operation of the vehicle, the safety of students both in and around the truck and gave open, honest and constructive feedback - an ideal trainer worth his weight in gold.
On that note, based on my experience, I will be more than happy and inclined to suggest Armstrongs to my fellow colleagues. When the opportunities arise for their driver training I am confident knowing that they will receive quality service and instruction from the Armstrongs team.
Once again thank you for a great experience and please pass on my comments to management so the relevant people are praised for their efforts.
My fiance and I completed a 9-hour course today and the test for our Motorcycle permit with the fantastic Bernie. Bernie was professional, patient and thorough in explaining everything he did, with great teaching technique in demonstrating, allowing us to practice and assisting me when I needed help or encouragement. I have never undertaken training to this level of excellence, and I cannot recommend Armstrong's enough! My fiance and I have never been on a motorbike before, and after today, have enough confidence to just give it a go on the roads, all thanks to Bernie and his amazing skills as a training professional.
Thank you Bernie!
Jessica - Essendon
To the amazing team at Armstrongs,
My name is Josie and I recently fulfilled my motorbike learner permit with the brilliant Bernie. I have followed on to continue some private lessons for a few months now. I just needed to voice out that Bernie's knowledge and skill on the bike is irreplaceable. His coaching tips and patience has taught me many valuable lessons. While Bernie has always remained composed and very professional, his caring nature and laughter is infectious. I recommend him to all I know and hope to see him again sooner rather than later after I complete tomorrow's probationary test. Thank you Bernie!!! You're GOLD!!! In every way that must be shared x.
Josie - Thornbury
I had the opportunity to undertake a Bus Refresher course at Thomastown last Friday with Jeff. I found the course to be very helpful in brushing up on my overall knowledge and skills. I want to thank Jeff again for taking that course because his instructions were simple to understand and follow.
Nagi - Fitzroy North
Thank you for your time these last two days. You are one of the best teachers I have ever met. You are professional, patient, and experienced. I had a wonderful driving course. Thank you and I hope we can become friends.
ChengKai - Bundoora
Good Afternoon Armstrongs,
I write to you with positive feedback regarding my experience yesterday doing the 9 hour learner course.
I cannot speak more highly of Brian who was our trainer for the day. We also had Bernie come over for a little bit who was also wonderful.
I have had bad experiences in the past with other training companies but Armstrongs gave me the support I truly needed and I am ever so grateful that Brian never gave up on me once. He continued to talk me through what I needed to do and was extremely patient.
I cannot express how much it meant to me to be able to complete this course and to be supported throughout the entire day without any judgement. This is what a true trainer should be like. Thank you, thank you, thank you Armstrongs, Brian and Bernie for your support :)
Bianca - Cranbourne
Me and my partner Jessica wanted to thank you very much for such an excellent riding test on the 16th of February.
It was very kind of you to meet our special request to be our instructor and tester as we were both so happy with you when we got our learners.
We feel more confident riding now than ever with the extra skills you taught us that day.
Thank you for your patience with all of us and taking the time to speak to us face to face throughout the day and not yell from across the yard.
We hope to book you again for a private open lesson and hope to see you out on the road.
Daniel & Jessica - Corinella
Just writing to thank everyone at Armstrong's for training me for my HR truck licence.
I would especially like to thank Ivan who was my instructor. He was a fantastic teacher who was extremely patient, knowledgeable and a great communicator.
I now feel confident behind the wheel, and it's a credit to the company that you have such talented instructors. As a result I will definitely recommend Armstrong's to anyone I know who is interested in driver training qualifications.
Brendan - Newham
Can I just say we all loved Bernie he was a great instructor, very patient, calm and clear to understand,
Leonie - Moonee Ponds
To whom it may concern,
At 1:00 pm on Saturday 07-02-2015 I had a licence test for my motorcycle Licence.
I would like to inform you that Bernie, the instructor that took us for the test, was a great teacher.
I learnt a lot about the correct procedures on how to safely handle a motorcycle on the road.
I have been riding Motor bikes since the age of 10 and the information given in the course by Bernie was very enlightening.
Thank you Bernie and thanks to Armstrongs for employing such competent people.
llias - Clarkefield
Just a quick note to thank and compliment you all on the professional way your Motorcycle Learners Course was handled. Bernie went to great lengths to ensure that we not only understood what we had to achieve but the technical reasons for why it was important to master a particular skill. All the training methods did not in any way belittle any of the participants in spite of how many times we had to be shown and in fact encouraged us to learn from experience.
It is a credit to you all that the training not only completes the Vic Roads requirements but encourages you to move forward and learn more. I will certainly be recommending Armstongs to anyone who wants to master the motorcycle through to the B-Double.
Many thanks again.
Tim - TPC Mobile
It's been a while since our last contact but it gives me a special pleasure to report that shortly after your kind help in putting me in touch with XXXX, he placed me in truck driving job in which I am to this day and the customer is very happy with my efforts (and excellent truck driving skills), in which I will continue well into the next year.
If it wasn't for Adam (my instructor) who thought I was good enough to be recommended and for you who "pulled" the right strings and provided great advice/contacts, I would have been still jobless and with no hope for making a break into transport industry.
I CANNOT BE THANKFUL ENOUGH !!!
XXXX is a great guy and he took the Armstrongs recommendation very seriously.
In the new year I will surely come back to Armstrongs to do a MC refresher and subject myself to the same driver evaluation exercise that I did a few months ago in a HC.
Please pass my best regards to Adam. His positive feedback started this whole avalanche of positive developments in my life.
Again, Happy and Prosperous New Year and Merry X-Mas to all of you.
Whitfold - Bundoora
Can I just say I had such a great time today doing my p plates with Bernie. I was nervous and he alleviated all of my anxiety with his calm and encouraging, good natured attitude to the day. He was so clear and observed what I was doing wrong and corrected my technique right away which meant I learnt so much and was excited and confidant with the test and had heaps of fun!
Thanks again, you come highly recommended from me!
Jessica - Brunswick East
I recently completed both my motorcycle learners and licence courses with Armstrong.
I found both Bernie and Stuart to be GREAT trainers, with a fantastic style that put us at ease whilst leaning and being tested and giving us tips above and beyond what we needed to just pass our tests but be safe and proficient on the roads !! They both have a fantastic sense of humour that made the day completely enjoyable and I can't recommend you guys more highly.
Paul - Thexton Armstrong Broadfoot
Just wanted to inform you that I completed the HR course and passed yesterday. Also, Geoff was extraordinary and would be an asset to any organisation with his dedication, knowledge, skills and most importantly his caring for wanting people to do well.
As for Stuart Rider, he was an excellent trainer who was very knowledgeable and was able to transfer his knowledge effectively. He was very patient with those needing more guidance and used everyday analogies to make people understand. He made the training very enjoyable and has a great sense of humour. He was also approachable and personable.
The people at 'ground level' are the face of the company and Stuart and Geoff made me appreciate Armstrongs a little more. I hope you value their contribution and efforts as they are true gentlemen.
Please do pass on my appreciation to Stuart and Geoff as I feel I am a better person having met and been trained by them both.
Phil - Flexsil-lid
My name is Matthew. I was a student and obtained my HR heavy rigid license on the 17th of October. I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff who have given me excellent service. On a big note I would like to send an extra appreciation thank you to Malcom (Mel) on his training!
Not only is he firm but fair but he has an excellent way of teaching, after 3 days of sitting in a truck not once did I lack any enthusiasm as he was always throwing out random road laws that were not even a part of the course. I enhanced not only my driving skill but my knowledge skill and had a chuckle on the way!
So big thumbs up and another great big thank you again!
Matthew - Bermar Earthmovers
On behalf of co-hosts the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland (CARRS-Q) and Transport and Road Safety (TARS) Research, we write to express our sincere thanks to you for your participation as a speaker at the 2nd Occupational Safety in Transport Conference held 18-19 September at Crown Plaza Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.
We were delighted to present your expertise and experience at this important initiative. Thank you for presenting on Adaptive training in commercial driving simulators. The two day program was well-received and highlighted the wide range of challenges currently facing us in the occupational transport safety field, and key directions for the future.
Please accept our sincere thanks for your time and involvement in the OSIT2014 Conference. It was a pleasure to work with you, and we hope to do so again in the near future.
Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety (CARRS) - Queensland & OSIT2014 Organising Committee
Just a quick note regarding the motorcycle learner's course, which I attended on Monday this week.
I was fortunate to have Bernie instruct me on the day - he was great! He had a great manner and a wonderful sense of humour that made the day both informative and enjoyable.
Most of all, his constant encouragement and patience were greatly appreciated.
Please pass on my thanks to Bernie.
Victor - Templestowe Lower
Sean Mahony took me for the MC licence on Sat 14th June. I would just like to thank him for the way he helped me - never having driven a B-Double before - to pass the test and for his patience.
I do some training myself and have some idea what it's like to sit in the other seat. Please make sure he gets this.
Martin - Upper Ferntree Gully
Jamie Whincup - 5 times V8 Supercar Championship Series winner
We did our motorcycle learner's permit last Saturday and we'd like to thank both you and our instructor, Brian, for the excellent course and the patient teaching. We are both teachers ourselves, so it's always interesting for us to see instruction in a totally different field. Brian did a great job of teaching both the 4 "oldies" on scooters and the 2 young men on bikes in our group.
We would highly recommend your course to others and plan to take our licence tests with you once we've got enough experience on Ls.
Thanks again for a great day.
Geoff & Jenni - Travancore
I completed and passed my 4 day heavy combination course today with Sean [Mahony] and Joe [Borg] (for the NMIT units). I just wanted to say thank you and how much I appreciate all your professionalism throughout my time with you. I feel I have expanded my knowledge in the transport industry which will further expand my career horizons in the industry.
The approach Sean took in training us in the semi trailer was superior, taking us through many different scenarios on the road and explaining situations he has been faced with during his transport career, not to mention his patience, support and appropriate feedback towards his students.
Adrian - Deer Park
We thoroughly enjoyed our course. Thank you for making it so enjoyable. Aaron was a fabulous trainer - he took the time to make sure we were fully aware of what was going to happen throughout the day. The course was well structured, with adequate time allocated to learning each task. Well done!!.
Sharon and Alex - Eltham
My partner and I attended and successfuly passed your Heavy Rigid Non-Synchromesh training course last week, and I have to say we were so very impressed! Peter [Bedson] is a terrific trainer, he explains things very clearly and moves you along at just the right pace. Plus, he has the patience of a saint! We really appreciated his professionalism and enjoyed his personable company over the three days. The admin Team were friendly and helpful with our queries. Tony [Casanova] was our licence tester and he was great too. All in all a really good experience, and we will definitely recommend your services to future employers or anyone we come across who is looking for driver education.
Kelly and Tim - Ascot Vale
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Armstrong's for their support and professionalism. I have completed my medium rigid, heavy combination and multi combination licences with you guys and I have to say, the way you go about your business is fantastic. You know what you're doing and you guide your students through the course no matter what their skill level is. Keep up the good work.
Shane - Craigieburn
To Whom It May Concern
I'm writing as I wish to thank all the staff at Armstrong's that assisted me in getting through my practical assessment for my medium rigid licence on 11 April 2011. The course was innovating and interesting on the 3 days I attended and I've learned a lot from my instructors Terry [Ellis], Joe [Borg] and Michael [Coutts]. They were very supportive and professional. Thank you all again for your support. Wish you all the best in the future.
Sharon - South Morang
Just a short note to thank the team at Armstrong's for the guidance and help in getting my truck licence. I don't think I told you how nervous I was because of the importance of what it meant to my family life. We all have journey's in life and the team at Armstrong's have helped to start me on the next one. My husband had a stroke about nine years ago and is disabled so he doesn't drive any more. I promised him I would try and fulfill his wish to see Australia and Armstrong's have helped me to start to do just that and as you can imagine we need a few more comforts thus the truck licence. I think Armstrong's for the insight in having Sam [Boeti] and other team members to teach and to be able to judge the ability people who come through Armstrong's have. The confidence Sam gave me was what I needed to achieve my goal. I can laugh now but at the time although being a driver for 40 years, I stressed!!! That first time I entered the office to do my written test I lost it, the stupid thing was I knew most of the answers. After that the team at Armstrong's gave me the confidence I needed to go back into that room and pass. I put it this way - you are never too old to learn especially if you have a great team like Armstrong's behind you. When we do ge the transport to travel, I will remember that this is because of Armstrong's and I thank you all for making it possible. If Armstrong's can teach me, they can teach most people. Have a good one.
Carmel - Tullamarine
First of all I'd like to sincerely thank you guys at Armstrong's for the recommendations you have made where you have sent people to me in order to start their career in truck driving after getting their licences. We found the people in question to be very well trained and therefore prepared for this unique industry of ours. I applaud you all at Armstrong's and appreciate the professionalism you enhance.

To The Manager
I completed my motorcycle learner's permit today. I wanted to say thank-you for the two trainers [Aaron Albress and Russell Colvin] for their time, experience, support and motivation. They remained friendly and courteous for the duration of the day. They definitely displayed Armstrong's values in their behaviour and conduct on the day. Speaking from experience in the Learning & Development area and as a trainer myself - the professionalism of the two of them was exceptional and I would definitely, and have already, recommended Armstrong's to my friends, family and colleagues. Overall I really enjoyed myself and am very excited to get on the road in a safe and confident manner. Keep up the great work and thankyou again.
